本課程旨在培養學生具備
中華文化與倫理道德 Solid understanding of Chinese culture and ethics能力、國際視野與多元文化 Global outlook and appreciation of cultural diversity能力、藝術品味與人文涵養 The ability to appreciate arts and cultures能力、社會關懷與公民責任 Strong sense of civic responsibility and care of social welfare能力、健全體魄與團隊合作 Sound health and skills in collaboration and teamwork能力、語文能力與溝通表達 Linguistic competence and communication skills能力、創新思維與資訊應用 The ability to think innovatively and to apply information technology for diverse purposes能力、專業知能與主動學習 Professional knowledge and skills as well as motivation for self-learning能力
目前台灣包含高雄衛武營藝術中心、台中歌劇院、板橋大台北劇院等都在陸續規劃準備興建，未來營運時必然需求劇場行政人員，為培養劇場管理行政專業人才，開設本課程，讓學生了解劇場運作所需專業知識，同時透過參觀及實作的過程，增強其專業執行能力。課程內容包含介紹劇場的組織及組織各部門工作內容，也介紹劇場建築及演出的設備，同時了解包含劇場的使命、劇場的顧客及其價值、劇場預期目標及劇場如何具體落實執行計劃等。
The main purpose of this course is to provide a thorough introduction of the theatre management to the students. It covered the theatre organization , theatre facility and theatre operation.
