本課程介紹劇場整體結構，分別就認知戲劇與劇場每項組成元素，以期讓初學劇場者能得到一個劇場全面輪廓與它的基本概念的正確思維。本課程從劇本，劇場實體以及在不同文化中的表演體系，來分析戲劇、劇場的本質、起源以及發展；並選擇亞里斯多德的創作理論作為劇本分析，史坦尼做為演員養成； 亞伯萊特(Alblight)作為劇場舞台的發展模式；丁.亞里山大的導演；以及觀眾特質。在第一學期集中在認識悲劇與分析以及舞台表演空間的模式；第二學期則為喜劇，導演原則，演員養成；以及觀眾。
本課程教導劇場基礎概論及練習，並應用不同性質e化教材。希望提供學生未來生涯規劃與選擇的參考
The course is an introduction to Drama and theatre as a whole. Basic on,) each constitute elements of theatre the main goal of the course gives the beginners of theater a full picture of theatre，and its correct fundamental concept thinking，analysis of the nature of theater，its origin(s) and development from the standpoint of the play，the physical theatre，and its system of acting in various cultures；and select Aristotle’s theory for play making；C.Stanislavsky for the actor’s training and role’s making；Albright for the models of staging; and Alexander Dean for directing, and the nature of audience。 In the first semester，the course focuses on tragedy and the model of stage and its application of space。 The second，the subjects are comedy，principles of directing，prepare an actor，and characteristics of audience。 The course presents the basic concepts and practices with supplementary materials such as T.V. programs movie, etc.，tries to help the students making their future career choice.。
